Installation shot of PRIRODA

Exhibition was on view between February 23rd and March 6th, 2024 at Gayle and Ed Roski Gallery, Roski Studios Building (IFT) 3001 S. Flower Street in Los Angeles.

Priroda is a Bulgarian word that signifies nature, but when pulled apart denotes ‘with our root’ or ‘with our ancestors’. When we are in nature we are with our ancestors, rooted in the land despite the diaspora and disconnection we may have experienced.

Emerging from the yearly visits to my ancestral village in Southern Bulgaria, PRIRODA honors my ancestors and their way of life.
